Our goal for every child in The Gambia 2024-2028

By 2028, UNICEF Gambia, with the support of our partners, aims to ensure children, adolescents, and women across The Gambia, especially the most vulnerable, are receiving quality health, nutrition and water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

This includes equipping and skilling heath workers, procuring and strengthening the delivery of routine vaccinations, facilitating the installation of resilient water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in health and nutrition centers, schools, and communities, and ensuring the provision of life-saving nutrition interventions.

By 2028, we aim to ensure that at least 85% of pregnant women are receiving four antenatal visits, 90% of children under 1 year have received 3 doses of DTP vaccine, stunting in children under 5 years has been reduced by over 3% since 2020, and that the 90% of the population are using basic water services.
