Main sequences: UNICEF and its partners have launched a series of campaigns to provide a package of key life saving interventions to pregnant mothers and children under five living in refugee camps along the Afgoye Road in Somalia. In early November 2007, close to 200,000 people fled fighting in the Somali capital of Mogadishu and made their way to safety here. This road is now home to some 280,000 internally displaced people – a number which increases every day.
