Executive summary

Abstract:

The evaluation of the Reception Class Programme, will provide information in terms of performance in programme implementation, results, challenges and identify areas for quality improvement. This evaluation will generate evidence that will inform quality improvements, scale up and advocacy for increased investment in ECE.

Description:

The overall objective of the evaluation is to generate evidence on the performance of the Reception Class Programme in Botswana in terms of its efficiency and effectiveness, including impact on children’s school readiness and performance. The outcome of the evaluation will inform Government on how the Reception Class Programme is being implemented, results obtained, successes, challenges and opportunities for quality improvements. The evaluation will also generate input for evidence based advocacy.
