What we do
How UNICEF works together with EU partners to realize the rights of every child
UNICEF believes every child has the inalienable right to survive, to live with dignity and in a safe environment where they can develop their full potential. The European Union shares this same belief and remains fully committed to supporting children and realising their rights across crucial areas of a child's life.

UNICEF and the European Union focus on ensuring uprooted, unaccompanied, separated and vulnerable children have access to quality protection services.
Together with the European Union, UNICEF works for every child to have an equal chance to a bright future – both in Europe and worldwide. We focus on empowering girls and women and ensure their full participation in decisions that concern them. Amongst others, UNICEF supports the EU’s “Spotlight Initiative” to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls.
