Advancing children’s rights from Brussels to the rest of Europe and the world
The UNICEF Office for Relations with European Union (EU) institutions in Brussels works with EU Institutions to strategically cooperate in achieving meaningful and long-lasting impact for children through the delivery of joint development programmes and effective humanitarian crisis response.
UNICEF’s partnership with the EU is strong and multifaceted and has developed significantly over the past 10 years. The partnership is underpinned on strong shared values centred around fairness and equity and focuses on responding to the needs of the world’s most vulnerable children. Through this partnership, the EU invests significant resources to deliver life-changing programmes for children in many countries and has also adopted policies and frameworks to promote the rights of every child, everywhere.
The UNICEF Office for Relations with the EU strives to further strengthen our relationship with the EU, recognising it as one of UNICEF’s most influential partner, the largest financial supporter worldwide, as well as a leader towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
