Between 2014 and 2015, UNICEF and the EU have co-hosted a series of workshops and high level launches in over 40 countries to support the operationalisation of the Child Rights Toolkit in development cooperation.

Belarus - May 2015
In May 2015 UNICEF, the EU and GIZ organised a joint workshop in Belarus, attended by 30 national partners and representatives of International Organisations and national and international civil society organisations (event summary). The workshop was followed by a high-level launch event, opened by the EU Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia, and the UNICEF Representative. It was attended by over 40 high-level guests.     

Nicaragua - October 2014
A high-level launch took place in Nicaragua in October 2014 and was attended by 160 people, along with 20 media representatives. The event was presided over by Ambassador Javier Sandomingo, Head of the EU Delegation in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama and UNICEF Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Bernt Aasen.     

Jamaica & Belize - October & November 2014
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, November 2014 also saw Child Rights Toolkit launches in both Jamaica and Belize. Both countries marked this occasion by creating interesting videos as a supplement to their launches (Jamaica video/ Belize video and launch photos).
