What Works for Africa’s Poorest Children

From measurement to action

Highlights

The purpose of this book is to continue the process of identifying and consolidating the policies and programmes that are most effective in supporting Africa’s poorest and most vulnerable children.

Building on the aforementioned conference, and the two prior volumes of What Works for the Poorest, this book represents a bold effort to further highlight the most effective interventions supporting Africa’s poorest and most vulnerable children, while elaborating on the key features underpinning their documented success.

Through a set of carefully selected and well-integrated contributions, this publication provides cutting edge, real examples of how we can identify child poverty and deprivation before providing practical actions, programmes, and policy interventions that have made a difference in the lives of Africa’s poorest children.
