Promising practices to end violence against children, child marriage and FGM
Celebrating the Day of the African Child 2021
Ending violence against children, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM) must take centre stage in policy and practice in Africa and globally.
Now is the time to double down to tackle the structural drivers and social and cultural practices that threaten the wellbeing of children and that of their families and communities.
On this Day of the Africa Child, the UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa is sharing compendia of promising practices to highlight programmatic approaches or interventions that are working to reduce child marriage and FGM and address violence against children. The aim is to zoom in on what is working well, and why, in specific country settings in order to share promising practices across the region and beyond.
