As the winter season is taking a toll on vulnerable families, UNICEF in Egypt and its partners are distributing winter clothes to children on the move, ages from 0 to 18 years old. The on going distribution is taking place through UNICEF funded family centers, located across the country, primarily in the governorates of Greater Cairo, Alexandria and Dammietta and targeting a total of 73,115 children.

On the first day of the distribution, UNICEF in Egypt team visited “Abwab” family center in Haram and spoke to the children and their families, who expressed their hopes and dreams for a better future. With UNICEF’s funding and its implementing partner Terre Des Hommes (TdH), “Abwab” family center is able to provide psychosocial support to children on the move and was selected to be the first family center in Greater Cairo to start the distribution.
