UNICEF-Al Ahram Canadian University Communication for Development Course

UNICEF Egypt is happy to announce the first round of the Communication for capacity building course in collaboration with Al Ahram Canadian University. UNICEF will be sponsoring the accommodation and training expenses of 25  Governmental and Non-Governmental officials for the first course from June 13th to July 1st, 2010 at the Ahram Canadian University, 6th of October City. 

The training will provide participants with tools and techniques to analyze complex behavioral issues, social norms and practices, and recommend communication solutions to address them. It will inform them of the latest approaches, concepts and trends such as evident and results based programming among others. It will also provide the participants with opportunities to share examples of good practice and lessons learned over the years on different strategic development issues.

The course will be instructed in Arabic and attendance for the entire three weeks is mandatory for recieving the certificate. Applicants  need to be 1) Affiliated with any of the following:  developmental or research organization, a university or a research institution. 2) Not older than 50 years of age and 3) Mass communication background is not necessary.
