Mr. Philippe Cori is the ad interim Regional Director of UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (ECARO). He is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Cori joined ECARO in July 2018 as Deputy Regional Director. During a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Cori has held several senior positions with UNICEF, including Deputy Regional Director of UNICEF’s Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA), Director of UNICEF’s EU Partnership Office in Brussels, and Senior Adviser for Global Public-Private Partnerships at UNICEF’s headquarters in New York. In these roles, Mr. Cori managed UNICEF’s partnerships with the EU institutions, international alliances such as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis, and Malaria and The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), as well as with foundations and other international organizations and financial institutions. Mr. Cori has broad expertise in partnerships, policy influencing, social and resource mobilization, and branding.
Mr. Cori is a national of France. He holds a PhD in Brand Development Strategy for World Heritage and Poverty eradication from the University of Silpakorn in Bangkok, Thailand. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce of Rouen, France, and a Master’s in History of Art from the University of Lille, France. He studied Political Sciences and International Affairs at the University of Sorbonne in Paris, France, and holds a postgraduate degree in Evaluation Techniques in Education from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
