OneMinutesJr workshop in Pristina - Day 5

PRISTINA, 4 October 2013 - It's Friday, day 5 of the OneMinutesJr workshop and there is a number of things left on the agenda before we can watch all the films and wrap up the seminar here in the Innovations Lab Kosovo in Pristina.

First of all, there are two more films to shoot. One because the location we had chosen did not work out yesterday and the other one because we found several mistakes in the footage while capturing the material on the computers. However, both issues can be addressed without major problems and so start with the animation that has to be redone.

The participants who are done with their films can already fill in the forms that will automatically enter their films into the annual OneMinutesJr competition. We do the subtitles next, find good titles in both English and Albanian and polish the sound tracks of the videos.

The production of the sound to the "Orange apples" involves almost the whole group and it's a lot of fun giving the apples and the oranges voices. Shortly after this, all films are done, subtitled, exported and ready to go out on the big screen for the first time.

The participants obviously enjoy their films and it is fascinating to see how a group of young people can come together in five days and create powerful and deep stories about their lives, their dreams and their frustrations. Every filmmaker gets a special applause at the end and a certificate of participation and then we close the workshop and exchange email addresses for future cooperation and sharing of ideas.

If you're interested in the films, you have to look no further - here they are, enjoy watching them and share them with friends and colleagues.
