Highlights

Menstrual health and hygiene is essential to gender equality and the well-being of women and girls. Yet across the East Asia and Pacific region, many women and girls struggle to receive sufficient information and services to support menstrual health.  

This regional review report provides an overview of progress towards supporting the breadth of menstrual health needs in the East Asia and Pacific Region from 2016-2022.  The report, carried out by the Burnet Institute, WaterAid, and UNICEF, shares lessons learned and highlights opportunities for improving support to menstrual health needs.  

The regional synthesis report is accompanied by 14 individual country profiles.
