New Year, New Start: Every child should have the chance to fulfill their dreams
It is up to us to reimagine a world in which they can
In 2020, children and their families all around the globe have experienced a degree of disruption like never before due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of them, especially those more vulnerable, have lost access to crucial parts of their lives: the opportunity to see their parents, to go to school and learn, to exercise, to play, to see friends, and much more.
#NewYearNewStart looks at how the lives of 5 children from Cambodia, China, Lao PDR and the Philippines have been impacted by COVID-19, and what adjustments they have had to make.
Fortunately, children are very resilient, hopeful, and resourceful. They have dreams, and it seems like the pandemic has strengthened their will to fulfill those dreams!
