Highlights

At the beginning of the Ebola outbreak in North Kivu and Ituri provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), epidemiological data showed that women were disproportionately affected. Social science research conducted from 2018 onwards has brought to light the different factors that may explain this imbalance in order to be able to provide solutions.
