With gratitude to UNICEF representatives for their excellent cooperation, Mayor Tomislav Tomašević pointed out that this agreement is the result of very good relationship on joint projects and goals. "UNICEF and the City of Zagreb share the same stands on children's rights, especially when it comes to the most vulnerable groups of children such as those who live in poverty or those who witness or are victims of violence. We support the activities of UNICEF, which aim is to improve the lives of children in Zagreb and in Croatia", said the Mayor.
Mayor Tomašević pointed out that Zagreb holding participates in the collection of donations for the work of UNICEF, in such a way that, in the invoices delivered, business users also receive materials in which they are invited to donate part of the income for activities that promote children's rights. He also noted that the Zagreb Fair will provide space for UNICEF employees to present their activities at numerous fairs and other activities so they can reach as many potential donors as possible.

“UNICEF and the City of Zagreb nurture a long-standing successful cooperation in which we work together for the benefit of all children, especially the most vulnerable children who do not have access to quality health, social or educational services. We look forward to strengthening our cooperation with this agreement to improve the life of boys and girls in the city of Zagreb and across the country, ” , said Regina M. Castillo, Representative of the UNICEF Office for Croatia, at the signing of the agreement.
The City of Zagreb, alongside the Mayor, recognizes the importance of projects for the youngest citizens, so it has thus far provided support to UNICEF in many ways.
