OneMinutesJr nominees warm up for annual awards ceremony in Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM, 29 November 2013 - The nominees of the 2013 OneMinutesJr awards have come together in Amsterdam for a filmmaking masterclass and the annual awards ceremony this weekend.

15 films have been selected by a mixed youth- and adult-jury in three categories. Nine of the films were produced in the CEECIS region, namely in Bosnia and Herzegovina (3), Ukraine (4), Georgia (1) and Armenia (1). The other nominees come from Mexico, Vietnam, Cambodia, Libya and Pakistan.

In a two-day masterclass facilitated by veteran OneMinutesJr trainers from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam, the youngsters are developing new stories ideas on the topic "Frequently asked questions". The workshop concludes on Saturday night (30 November) with the announcement of the winners of the 2013 OneMinutesJr awards.
