Launch of Electronic Youth Services in Georgia

TBILISI, Georgia, 20 July 2012 - A presentation of two ongoing projects supported by UNICEF was held at the Children and Youth National Center in Tbilisi today.

The innovative project Youth E-Services has been implemented by the Children and Youth National Center of the Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry. The Movement Accessible Environment for All has been carrying out the Accessible Youth Services project. A memorandum will be signed by the above organizations.

Through the Youth E-services Project users can in one space obtain the information on paid and free youth services in big towns of Georgia. At the same time the portal will allow organizations make their services easily accessible.

In May 2012 the second phase of the project was launched envisaging improvement of both - the information in the newly-created database and the services as well. The presentation of the project will be focused on the innovations and achievements.

The Youth E-Services Project cooperates with the new project of Movement for Accessible Environment for All through checking the database of the latter for organizations that are adapted to people with disabilities and organizations that would like to become accessible for them in future.
