Schools gain access to electricity through solar energy

82% of the schools in Burundi do not have access to electricity.

Thanks to the German Ministry of Environment, through IKI (International Climate Initiative), UNICEF Burundi has equipped six elementary schools and four health facilities with solar electricity.

In the video, 12 years-old Sandra and her teacher reflect on how this is going to bring change to their school.
