Supporting vulnerable households with cash transfers and awareness-raising to reduce poverty
Highlights
Merankabandi – literally meaning "be like the others" – is a national social safety protection program designed to restore dignity to households in extreme poverty.
In its pilot phase, the Merankabandi project selected 56.090 of the most vulnerable households to benefit from the program. Three years after its launch, beneficiaries are sharing its impact on their lives.
This booklet is a collection of testimonies, compiled to share the human aspect of the project.
