UNICEF Bulgaria is looking for a Construction Officer (Individual Consultant) who will be responsible for monitoring all construction activities of the Country Office within the implementation of a project titled “Enhancing support and integration, care and protection for refugee and migrant children in EU countries” under the partnership between the Swiss Confederation, Represented by the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP), acting through the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The Consultant will be expected to provide technical support on managing construction and rehabilitation activities for the establishment of a Safe Zone for Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC) in the registration and reception center in Harmanli, managed by the State Agency for Refugees (SAR). He/ She will work in close collaboration with the selected construction company and with SAR and will be responsible for all the technical aspects of the planning, procurement and implementation phases as well as for monitoring the quality and adherence to UN and national standards of the construction on site.
The consultant will be expected to travel or reside temporarily in Harmanli where the construction site is located.
