According to the prosecutor's office, 508 child victims of sexual abuse were registered in Bulgaria in 2022.
Violence leaves scars for life.
We at UNICEF will continue to:
- Work for children's right to be heard and protected.
- We support the gentle hearing and interrogation of children affected by violence in special 'blue rooms' to avoid further traumatisation.
- We will train professionals to listen to children in a child-friendly way.
