How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Head of Communications, assists in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of an advocacy and communication strategy, to promote respect for children’s and women’s rights and support UNICEF's mission in Bulgaria.
- Supports the development of an advocacy and communication strategy, by coordinating appropriate audience research and compiling and analysing relevant data. By collecting information from stakeholders and other partners prepares background communication and promotional materials.
- Pursuing the existing brand tool guideline follows up on the production of advocacy and communication materials (e.g., films, videos, audio-visuals, etc.), and oversees the qualitative aspects of production, (e.g., quality control, translations, reviews of layout and graphic design). Contributes to the preparation of status and progress reports by providing information and drafting selected sections of it.
- Supports in monitoring and evaluation of the appropriate and timely dissemination of advocacy and communication materials, and participates in the evaluation of their impact by reviewing a variety of records, including control plans, progress reports, project inputs, budgets and financial expenditures.
- Collects and maintains information on project activities by reviewing reports and through first-hand sources. Establishes/ maintains an up-to-date documentation centre for publications, press releases and clippings, as well as photographic and audio-visual materials.
- Assists in the identification and formulation of projects and participates in the preparation of draft project documents.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations; or equivalent professional work experience in the communication area, combined with a university degree in a related field would be an asset.
- 6 years of practical professional work experience in communication, print, broadcast digital media or PR agency.
- Excellent knowledge of communication practice, methodology and practical application is required.
- Knowledge of current theories and practices in communication research, and the role of mass media is an advantage.
- Writing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of English and Bulgarian is a must.
