The investment case for nutrition

Highlights

This report was commissioned by the Government of Botswana, with technical and financial

support from UNICEF, in order to create an authoritative investment case to show how

stunting can be reduced in an economically feasible manner. In order for the

recommendations to be useful they must be achievable and acceptable to the government

and the society. With this in mind, three options are proposed in this investment case,

cognisant that radical changes, even if the most effective in principle, are not always feasible

or desirable in the first instance.
