Tenth Meeting of the SPIS Management Board

Tenth Meeting of the Management Board of the Programme Enhancing the Social Protection and Inclusion System for Children in BiH was held on 12. April 2012 with participation of key government representatives, UNICEF and EU Delegation to BiH as the mail project donor who observed the meeting.

The Management board introduced Operational Plan for the remaining implementation period of the project in line with project timeframe. Members of the SPIS Management Board also discussed about main recommendations resulted from two entity inception workshops held in February with representatives of new 10 municipalities and District Brcko. The members concluded that SPIS promotional video prepared through the project should be further presented to the municipalities who are not directly involved in SPIS project. This would enable presentation of a positive evidence-based experience beyond SPIS targeted municipalities and motivated other municipalities to apply SPIS integrated model of child protection.

The Management Board was informed about main recommendations from Monitoring report from previous two phases of SPIS programme implementation, as well as options for further project funding.

The members of Management Board have agreed that it is necessary to consider utilization  of unallocated IPA funds to this project, which became key mechanism in support to most vulnerable category of BiH population – children.
SPIS Management Board is ensuring information flow between different partners and coordination of activities at the state, entity and Brcko District level. Each year, SPIS Management Board submits the Annual Report to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the adoption.
At this meeting beside Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, other members of SPIS Management Board where present such as  the Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Mrs. Saliha Duderija, the Director of the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mrs. Ljerka Marić, the  Assistant Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the RS Mr.Ljubo Lepir, Mr. Tomislav Pupić, Counceller of minister, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Federation BiH,  the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Mr.Vjekoslav Čamber, Mr. Admir Čandić the Head of the Department for Health and Other Services of Brcko District,Mrs. Natalia Dianiskova , Mrs. Florence Bauer Delegation of European Union in BiH, Mrs. Selma Kazić, Manager for SPIS Programme, UNICEF, Mrs. Sanja Tica, Delegation of European Union in B&H and   the Representative of UNICEF BiH as the observers.
