UNICEF DONATES 500,000 MASKS TO SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
The disposable masks are compliant with the European Standard of filter performance
Sarajevo, 28.10.2020: As of today, UNICEF in Bosnia and Herzegovina starts delivering 500,000 protective masks to schools and communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These non-medical masks, in total estimated value of close to 300,000 USD are in-kind donation of the German company STS Textiles GmbH & Co.KG through German National Committee for UNICEF. .
The disposable masks are compliant with the European Standard of filter performance.
“This valuable donation will help us reach the schools and the most vulnerable population, as we are aware that many of the vulnerable populations can’t afford the purchase of masks. We are grateful to STS Textiles GmbH & Co.KG for this significant contribution as part of corporate social responsibility , espcially now as all business sectors are facining economic challanges. I am thankful to UNICEF Germany for facilitating this donation for Bosnia and Herzegovina. .”, said Dr Rownak Khan, UNICEF Representative in BIH.
UNICEF BIH will deliver the masks for further dissemination to all Ministries of Education, Centers for Social Welfare and partners involved in Refugee-Migrant Response in Sarajevo and Una Sana Canton, as well as to Roma NGO Partner for further distribution to beneficiaries.
