'The lucky farmer’ is a story book for Class II students to be used as supplementary reading material. It is a not-so-simple story of a farmer who is rewarded by the king when he finds a ring that the king’s daughter Lily has lost. The farmer thinks he is lucky. Later when the king loses a gem and asks the farmer to find it out, he is at a loss and thinks he is not so lucky after all. Eventually, Lucky, the thief in this event surrendered the lost gem to the farmer and begged him to save her. The farmer returned the king his gem, was lucky again and rewarded doubly. Children are expected to read it and enjoy the turn of the events that take place as the story progresses. Finally, they will be all feel happy that the innocent farmer really proved to be a lucky person after all.
