This explores the impact of language obstacles on the humanitarian assistance in the refugee camps and details UNICEF’s response. From the onset of the emergency, language barriers have been a serious cause of concern for the refugee population. In December 2017, UNICEF partnered with Translators without Borders to address the communication challenges in the refugee camps, improve access and comprehension of life-saving messages and strengthen long-term resilience.
