RDPU Volunteers Join COVID-19 Public Awareness

Campaign Held by UNICEF in Azerbaijan

05 May 2020

Volunteers from the Regional Development Public Union (RDPU) are now also participating in a public awareness project     on novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which is being implemented in our country by UNICEF Azerbaijan with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

A distant webinar to be organized as part of the project will train the volunteers on how to protect oneself against coronavirus, hygienic rules, the importance of social distance, psychological support during the quarantine, useful tips for parents and children, as well as sharing various awareness raising materials on internet resources and distributing them to the citizens throughout the country.

In addition, a digital communication platform will be created to provide continuous support to people aged over 65 who live alone, low-income families and other groups of vulnerable families during the quarantine regime. Through the platform, the RDPU volunteers will be in constant touch with these population groups and provide them with various social services.
