BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2020 – A specialized training program for the public relations specialists of the Youth Houses and Youth Development and Career Centers (YDCCs) has been launched in February. The main theme of the training program was “Marketing and PR”, with two rounds of training program running for 6 days in total.
Young PR specialists of Binagadi, Mingachevir and Khazar Youth Houses, and Gazakh, Shamkir and Bilasuvar YDCCs attended the training to learn more about how to organize successful PR campaigns, build digital strategies, effectively manage advertising on social networks, design web-sites, and edit photo and video content. Introduced with theoretical information, participants also had a chance to do practical hands-on work.
Kenan Ahmadbayli, PR specialist of Shamkir YDCC was one of the trainees. His knowledge and skills were assessed back in November 2019, and the rate of his performance was estimated at around 60%, so it was decided he needs more capacity building.

“What I learned during the training program changed my vision of the job, and created great motivation to learn more about this area. Tips and recommendations I received from professional mentors have been helpful in my daily job – in the PR activities for Shamkir Youth Development and Career Center" says Kenan.
Since February this year, Kenan took 2 rounds of training programs, trained by professional specialists in “PR and digital marketing”, “Public relations”, “Organization of PR campaigns”, “Photo, Video shootage and editing”, “Managing Ads on Facebook and Instagram”, “Digital marketing strategies”, “Elementary Web design”. Kenan also joined practical sessions in order to cement his theoretical knowledge, where he performed concrete tasks.
Thanks to the knowledge and skills he gained during the training, Kenan is now able to develop PR and marketing strategies, formulate social media posts, manage digital advertisements, work with reporting forms, and resolve different communication-related problems in the course of his daily work.
