Leave No Child Out campaign's second phase launched
The second phase of the Leave No Child Out (LNCO) Project was initiated in April, 2005 with the selection of a local NGO alliance for children's rights as an implementing agency for the project in Azerbaijan. The Alliance will be responsible for employing the following tasks on a national level: training workshops on child rights and translation and distribution of the country specific child rights manual in Azerbaijani.
This second phase of the project has been initiated after the successful finish of the first phase in 2004 which focused on regional and sub regional activities related to development of needs assessment materials, compilations on child rights trainers and child rights materials, organization of workshops and creation and development of basic Childs Rights Resource and training manuals.
The Leave No Child Out, a joint UNICEF/EU project started in 2003 seeking to contribute to the awareness and encouragement of children's rights in the CEE and the CIS.
The official launch of the campaign by the Alliance together with UNICEF and EU will take place in the first weeks of June.
