More girls are in school today than ever before, but they do not always have the same opportunities as boys to benefit from education of their choice. Very often girls and women are held back by biases and social norms, preventing them to enter a field of education that they have potential in. Girls are particularly under-represented in education and careers on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

MATHEMard comic book aims to nurture and empower girls and young women interested in exploring the field of STEM. It was developed by a group of adolescent girls in February-March 2022, on the eve of the International Day of Mathematics, supported by UNICEF, ImpactAIM accelerator of UNDP and ISTC Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

MATHEMard is a female superhero who uses various math powers to tackle development challenges. Follow her adventures in the comic book!
