Psychosocial support programme for the children of Nagorno-Karabakh
Participation is open by registration
With UNICEF’s support, Parenting School Armenia have been running psychosocial support programmes for children and adolescents from Nagorno-Karabakh who were displaced and are now living in Yerevan and adjacent communities.
The programme helps children and adolescents to process and express their emotions, thoughts, and concerns, and to develop self-regulation and self-care skills, as well as effective coping mechanisms. Participation is open to all and free of charge.
Eligible age-groups: 5-6, 7-10, 11-13, 14-18-year-olds
Number of meetings: 6 meetings, each meeting duration: 50-80 minutes, depending on age group.
Frequency: twice a week
Number of participants per group: 6-10
Location: The Parenting School Center (Yerevan, 12 Komitas Avenue, 1st entrance)
Our psychologists look forward to welcoming you in a child-friendly, safe, and comfortable environment. We will have snacks for children. Whilst children take part in the sessions, parents are welcome to stay at the Center and benefit from various seminars, discussions and Q&A with psychologists about positive parenting in an emergency situation.
