Nik has been trained as an HIV/AIDS peer educator and frequently does outreach work in her village in northern Thailand. She is studying at a vocational training school to gain job skills.

“Most of my friends in my age group know about AIDS since we took part in an AIDS educational course. So we have the same level of understanding. But some of my peers still don’t pay attention to the information. I tell them they had better pay attention to this and know about HIV/AIDS because it’s very important for their lives. If you don’t know about it, you could make mistakes that would destroy you and your future.”
