Having experienced firsthand how AIDS is wiping out families, Kennedy is determined to stay healthy himself and to teach his peers about safe sex. He participates in a UNICEF-sponsored peer education club organized by Kibera Community Self-Help Programme (KICOSHEP), which teaches young people about HIV/AIDS through group talks, sports and performances. With half of the children in Kibera not attending school, these methods of communication provide potentially life-saving information.
