Consultancy assignment: Household Survey Consultancy for Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS)

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultant to support the completion of the MICS5 survey activities as well as contribute to the MICS6 preparation activities including participation to the regional and global MICS6 Survey Design Workshops.

• At least a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Demography, Statistics, Epidemiology, or other related technical field with significant measurement or analysis component is required.
• Mid-level experience - at least 8 years working experience of which 5 years should be related to the coordination and/or management of quantitative household surveys. Prior MICS/DHS coordination experience is a must
• Expertise in statistical analyses (familiarity with data processing and data analysis software, SPSS highly desirable) and sampling in household surveys;
• Experience of working in developing countries and international experience in working on household survey data
• Fluency in English. Intermediate skills in French, Russian, and/or Spanish is an advantage
