Consultancy assignment: Conflict Risk Reduction Specialist, Senegal

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultant, Conflict Risk Reduction Specialist in Senegal for a period of 6 months.

Proven record of achievement, 8 years of increasing responsibility and experience in areas related to peacebuilding, conflict sensitive programming, emergency and/or post disaster recovery;

- Field experience in complex programming environment including high-risk, and/or conflict-affected disaster environments and an in-depth knowledge of the West and Central Africa region is an asset.

- Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.

- Experience in national level development assistance is an asset.

- Experience in international coordination mechanisms is an asset.

- Experience in capacity development is an asset.

- Background/familiarity with Emergency.

- Fluency in English and French
