Consultancy assignment: Learning System Support Consultant, New York

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultant, Learning System Support (communication, training and administration) in New York.

- Master’s degree in online and distance education, educational technology, adult learning, information management systems or related field required.

- Experience with managing communication.

- Professional experience as a Moodle or Totara system administrator or related position preferred.

- Experience of customers support for a web-application/IT application/CMS or LMS is highly desirable (preferably with Moodle or Totara).

- Experience of development training resources and/or guidelines, tutorials – preferably for Moodle/Totara.

- Experience of professional development / adult learning contexts preferred.

- Experience of working within an in international context preferred.

- Managing complex training projects involving various subject matter experts.

- Experience of working with external developers / vendors / partners.

- Excellent writing skills (for external and internal communications, project documentation, reports, …)

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

-Proficient with web technologies, online platforms use and/or set up. Ideally some experience with a learning management system (LMS) or content management system (CMS).

- Strong project management skills (possibly including various concomitant projects). Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.

- Excellent Face-to-face and web based training events facilitation skills.

- Quick learner, able to process information on a variety of subject (to work with various stakeholder in and outside of UNICEF).

- Proficiency in English is a must, knowledge of Spanish and/or French is preferred.

- Proficiency in core instructional technologies and instructional design practices.

- Ability to work well with others, in particular with virtual teams (vendors, subject matter experts, testers, etc.)
