1.      Qualifications of Successful Candidate


Advanced University Degree in transport or logistics operations/management, supply chain management, information management or other related field and relevant work experience
First university degree with relevant field experience in logistics, data management and possibly CO support/capacity building.

Work Experience:

At least five years of practical experience in managing/supporting supply and logistics operations involving planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, supply tracking and monitoring as well as training/capacity strengthening and advisory support.

Field emergency experience desirable. Regional experience considered a plus.

2.      Competencies of Successful Candidate:

  • Demonstrates complete understanding of how UNICEF organizes to provide logistical planning and support, deliver supplies, transport, and communicate to country offices.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, support and advise multiple activities and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Planning and analytical skills
  • Proven teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to organize and implement training aimed to building capacity
  • Current knowledge of the latest developments and technology in the field.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the region.


Fluency in French and good command of English is required.
