Consultancy Assignment: Revision of draft technical guidance for the effective integration of DRR into school curricula

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultancy revision of draft technical guidance for the effective integration of DRR into school curricula.

Technical knowledge: knowledge of current resilience, conflict and DRR global trends, in-depth knowledge of education-specific DRR standards and policies; knowledge and experience in global education planning policies.
Drive for results: conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results; shows persistence when faced with difficulties.  
Analysis: Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrate ability to integrate various information sources to develop quality analytical production with both attention to detail and the broader context.
Teamwork: Strong inter-personal skills demonstrated by the ability to lead and gain the assistance and cooperation of others in a team endeavour; ability to build trust and develop and maintain effective work relationships in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including ability to defend and explain difficult issues with respect to key decisions and positions to staff, senior officials and members of intergovernmental bodies. Demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate multi-stakeholders meetings / consultations.
Judgment/Decision-making: Strong and mature judgment and decision-making skills; ability to make decisions under pressure; demonstrated ability to take effective initiative in stressful situations.
Technological Proficiency: Solid computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spread sheets, and presentation software
Fluency in English is required.
