Consultancy Assignment: Consultant for Infant and Young Child Feeding in Zambia

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultant to provide technical support to the National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC) to review and revise the national strategy on Infant and Young Child Feeding.

 Advanced university degree in Nutrition, Public Health or related field.
 At least 10 years of relevant professional work experience of which 5 years in infant and young child feeding programs.
 Technical knowledge and understanding of IYCF programming including experience of community-based programming.
 Previous experience in developing national strategies and action plans
 Strong communication and facilitation skills.
 Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
 Fluency in spoken and written English.
 Excellent writing skills are a must.
 Previous experience in Zambia or in Southern Africa Region is an added value.
