News note: UNICEF launches a television and radio programme to discuss health matters

Health matters on radio

 

UNICEF Zimbabwe under the Health Transition Fund (HTF) has launched a new radio and television programme entitled Health Matters (Nyaya DzeUtano). The main objectives of the programme are:

  1. To increase overall visibility of the Health Transition Fund brand and the services it provides in Zimbabwe
  2. To increase knowledge among Zimbabwean population on the availability of services supported by the HTF
  3. Develop media awareness of the Health Transition Fund.

The programme targets the general public, key service users; Health workers at all national levels; Village Health Workers and Community committees and will be flighted on Radio Zimbabwe every Tuesdays at 1120am and on national television - ZBC every Wednesdays on 1955Hrs.  

The HTF is a multi-donor pooled fund, managed by UNICEF, to support the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare (MoHCW) in Zimbabwe to achieve planned progress towards 'achieving the highest possible level of health and quality of life for all Zimbabweans'.
