Progress towards MDG 7 (Water)Only 8 of the 24 countries of the region are on track to meet the water target of the MDG 7. Seven countries are not on track, 5 have made insufficient progress and 4 have no sufficient data.
Progress towards the MDG water target The eight countries that are on track are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Mali. The 5 countries that are not on track are: Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Senegal. The 3 countries that have made insufficient progress are: Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Togo.
