Global initiative on out-of-school children
A new report from UNICEF presents out-of-school children’s profiles in 21 countries of West and Central Africa region. It is the first time that households surveys were extensively analyzed to see where excluded children are. This report offers a regional view of out-of-school issue with a comparison between countries. This research work offers a better understanding of the different groups of OOSC following their ‘schooling pathways’, including children who never entered school, those who will enter later, those who repeat, and those who drop out.
