Media advisory: visit of the UNICEF Regional Director to Sierra LeoneWhat Who When Where Why UNICEF Sierra Leone has signed a three-year country programme (2008 – 2010) with the Government of Sierra Leone, with special focus on enhancing child survival, development and protection with opportunities for extension to 2012 in line with the National Poverty Reduction Strategy II, the President’s Agenda for change and the UN’s Joint vision paper. The Programme also emphasises knowledge building on the situation of children and fulfillment of their rights, especially through studies, surveys and effective monitoring.
