Keep the Promise: join the campaign!

You can make a difference by making a personal promise to fight HIV and AIDS

The "Keep the Promise" campaign holds individuals, governments, intergovernmental organizations, religious leaders and faith organizations accountable for the commitments they have made and advocates for further efforts and resources to fight HIV and AIDS.

There are direct ways you can get involved at local, national, and international levels.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Hold a poster competition to encourage discussion and raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.
  • Consider how your community or church can address issues of sex and sexuality in an open and honest way, that helps young people make informed choices.
  • Help mobilize resources for prevention and care.
  • Advocate for increased funding for the global response to HIV and AIDS.
  • Make a promise - and call governments to keep theirs.
