Returning with clean water to the Kounoungo camp for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad.

Because children are particularly vulnerable to disease caused by polluted water, basic sanitation and clean water are especially important for them and their families.

Children are also in a great position to help spread information about hygiene and sanitation. In doing so, they improve their own health as well as the health of their communities.

These pages contain stories of children around the world who are benefiting from, and contributing to, water, environment and sanitation projects in their communities.
