At the G8 meeting in July 2005, the leaders of the world's richest countries discussed issues that affect the lives of those in the poorest countries. Children and young people from the G8 countries and from developing countries made their voices heard at the first ever C8 Children's Forum, where they made recommendations to the G8 leaders around the most pressing issues facing young people today.
