Education is essential to giving children more equal opportunities in life. If some children are excluded, their whole lives will be affected, they will have fewer opportunities to develop basic skills like reading, writing and counting, as well as to learn important information they need to keep themselves healthy and safe. Being excluded from school may also mean their chances of getting a good job are reduced and may make children feel inadequate and left out.
