A group of children stand together in Kilishu Imni, a village in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. The trouble is, you cannot put everyone in prison for failing to protect children. Who would lock us all up? So perhaps we need to target laws effectively — but not just at the direct exploiters. The rest of us — children, adults, leaders, lawmakers — most urgently need education and information! And governments, non-governmental organizations and businesses need to increase their efforts to address factors such as poverty, conflict and political instability. |
